About

Dr. Roger M. Lee is co-director of UCLA Health's Hospitalist Program, which offers inpatient care provided by more than 125 hospitalist physicians at more than a dozen facilities throughout the greater Los Angeles region. He specifically cares for patients at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center and Providence Saint John's Health Center. His clinical interests include perioperative medicine, quality outcome initiatives in hospital medicine, and teaching medicine residents and medical students. He is board certified in internal medicine.

Dr. Lee was raised in Los Angeles and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from UCLA. He then received his medical degree from the University of California at Davis School of Medicine, and completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. Dr. Lee worked for several years as a primary care physician at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Boston before he moved back to Los Angeles in 2001 and joined the UCLA Health faculty.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Lee is also a clinical professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he teaches both medical students and medical residents. He is a member of the American College of Physicians.
